The Performance Workshop is for singers of all levels who wish to work on gaining confidence, improve their performances or try new ideas out.
This workshop promises to inspire you to your next level of performance no matter what your current experience.
Workshop singers perform a song to receive on the spot feedback for improvement from myself and the other students.
We will look at:
- Performance confidence
- Performance skills
- Interpretation
- Audience interaction
- Mic technique
- Musicality
- Artistic identity
Your performance will be recorded onto a CD and written feedback provided.
You can then go away and practice the suggested strategies and return to another Performance Workshop later down the track to see how you’ve progressed and to develop further.
Class size is limited and booking are taken on a first come first served basis.
Performers: Bring one song to work on, I suggest it’s a song you are very familiar with so you can concentrate on performance skills not lyrics or melody. You must provide your own accompaniment or backing track. A sound system will be available (mic and PA).
Fee: £18 (must be prepaid) £15 for Line Hilton’s and Sing Vocal Studio students
Testimonials
Having attended two performance workshops already, I have to say how interesting they were and how much I enjoyed them! Line has helped me use the microphone effectively on stage as well as building my performance confidence. She gave me helpful feedback each time I sang and we talked about the meaning of a song and the story behind it before performing it. I feel I now have some insight into performance preparation. I really recommend these workshops to anyone from those looking for a successful music career, to those who sing or perform for a hobby. Georgia Scott, singer/songwriter
I gained some really valuable insights during the workshop. It made me think much more about what I do as a total package. I learned a great deal from the feedback given to other performers as we all as myself. I would definitely go again. Paul Dunn, vocalist/pianist
Line is very knowledgeable and gives you an insight into your performance that you can work at straightaway. I found it valuable to sing in front of singers and musicians and get constructive feedback. I would recommend the workshop to any aspiring performers. Caroline, hobbyist singer
